Angoulême International Comics Festival

The first international stop for Stripburger this year is Angoulême, the heart of the French comics world and home to Europe’s most prestigious comics festival. This year marks the 52nd edition of the festival, taking place from 30 January to 2 February 2025.

Stripburger will participate in the BD Alternative area as a guest at the stand of La Fanzinothèque, the legendary French association dedicated to promoting zines and independent publishing. Last summer, we also collaborated with La Fanzinothèque, presenting an exhibition at their gallery and library in Poitiers.

Additionally, Stripburger will be featured in Hyper BD, a major festival exhibition offering a behind-the-scenes look at contemporary comics creation and showcasing the many paths to becoming a comics artist. Representing Stripburger at the festival will be editorial team members Domen Finžgar and Tanja Skale.
